Anahat Singh Reaches World Junior Squash Championships Women’s Singles Final, Creates Historic Milestone

Indian squash player Anahat Singh reaches the Women’s Singles final of the World Junior Squash Championships after defeating Egypt’s Barb Sameh 3-1 in the semi-final at Ontario, Canada. She becomes only the second Indian player after Joshna Chinappa to reach the prestigious title clash and will face Egypt’s Ruqayya Salem in the final.

Indian squash sensation Anahat Singh has created history by reaching the Women’s Singles final of the World Junior Squash Championships after defeating Egypt’s Barb Sameh 3-1 in the semi-final at Ontario, Canada, on Saturday.

With this remarkable victory, Anahat Singh has become only the second Indian player in history after Joshna Chinappa to reach the prestigious title clash of the tournament. Her achievement marks a significant milestone for Indian squash on the international stage.

Anahat secured her place in the semi-final after defeating Egypt’s Habiba Rizk 3-1 in the quarter-final held at Ontario, Canada, on Thursday. Continuing her impressive run, she overcame Barb Sameh in the last-four encounter to book her place in the championship final.

She will now face Egypt’s Ruqayya Salem in the title clash at the same venue. The final match is scheduled to begin at around 10:30 PM IST today.
